Once upon a time -

I made a "Big & Bold" quilt -
BIG & BOLD - TWILIGHT FROST - here -

And - because it kinda suited teenagers -

I decided to make FIVE of them -

One for each grandkid -

Using Black - White - and Red -

Well -

Best laid plans and all of that -

I made the first two tops -

And got sidetracked -

But I FINALLY finished the top for #3 -

B/W/R - FLORAL MULTI -

A bin of blocks -

The first four on the wall -

Sorted - kinda - on cutting table -

Blocks on wall in hallway -

On the kitchen island - almost done -

And - on the wall in the hallway -

TOP DONE!!

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Kitty, you are not even going to believe this!! Way back in Feb 2010 my FAB pals and I had a winter fabric challenge---make something for one of our pals using a light periwinkle-y paisley tone on tone. We had done summer, spring and fall would follow and each time we had a different FAB pal for a giftie.

That line of Twilight Frost was just a perfect addition for the fabrics that might go-with the winter-y fabric piece. I made a Convergence from it but I have a fair amount of it leftover and added on to. My pattern choice was Big and Bold!! Maybe they even showed it that way in the Connecting Threads catalog or online I do not recall at this point. I might even have charm packs of it?? I knew that I would have to re-size the block in EQ to make it work with what I have available.

Anyway it is kind of kitted up and hiding under my sewing room cutting/pressing table, waiting for me. I have to move it every time I need to get at the orange and yellow fabric 20 qt containers hiding behind it. I will make it someday if only to quit doing that. Good to know that you already have one made up as an example and that your grandson really likes it. It would make a nice chair throw for DJ, come the colder months.

I see a blog post coming up, LOL

I really like this pallet. And the Big and Bold pattern is perfect for those fabrics. Perfect!
