and the rest of my treatise goes "nothing is ever truly new, really---fabrics are often inspired by past eras and tools are inspired to make the piecing easier. It is still the same geometric shapes driving it all.
I made one of the blocks today and really the only part of that template thing that made any sense was the window part so I didn't have to measure on 4 sides of the batting. I could live without it but didn't have to since someone donated the whole shooting match to the quilting club library.
I still stand my original statement----it has been done. And you others are just using someone else's idea and tweaking it.
I sometimes wonder where I'd be today if I'd marketed my 'techniques'......
