Santa came -

Before Christmas I started working on some secret stuff -

And it’s a real bummer to be working on something -

And not to be able to share my progress - ;))

But Santa came - so no more secrets -

Chocolate Squirrel is my version -

Of Bonnie Hunter’s Easy Street Mystery Quilt - here -

I absolutely LOVE her Christmas Mystery Quilts!! -

I made Christmas Lights a few years ago - here -

And last year I made my version of Orca Bay - here -

This year is no exception -

Easy Street is another GREAT mystery quilt -

And I LOVE working on it - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Have you been able to figure out where this might be headed? I assume it is another one with a bazillion number of pieces in it too, like its predecessors?

Have fun! My swap package was posted today--padded mailer that I hope holds together or scraps are going to be spilling all over between your house and mine!

This time she only has HALF a bazillion pieces - ;)) But I think that to finish at 84 x 84 with 3" units she needs a grid 28 x 28 or 784 units. So far she has given us the steps to make 593 units - the 145 squares in Step 4 make for the odd number. Three more sets of 64 should do it - ;))

As far as the layout goes - the units themselves are very generic - so the layout possibilities are endless. Who knows what it's going to look like - could be anything - ;))

I think that I would go for 12" blocks (4x4) set 7 across and 7 down - 49 total. Two different blocks - 24 A and 25 B. With 192 - 4patches - I'd put 8 in each A block - 4 in the middle and one in each corner - kinda get a chain thing going - ;)) Don't know exactly what she's going to do with the geese - groups of 64 don't play well in my version - ;))

Your package is still on the counter - waiting for its trip to the post office - maybe tomorrow - ;))
