So far -
I have most of what I need for my version of "Easy Street" -
Bonnie Hunter’s Easy Street Mystery Quilt - HERE -
I substituted a light Lilac for the Gray/constant -
And Creams/tans/pinks/blues for the Black/White backgrounds -
192 - 4-Patches - Constant/Background -
I substituted Chocolate for the Purple -
And Teal for the Turquoise -
64 Stacked Geese - Chocolate/Teal -
64 Stacked Geese - Chocolate/Background -
64 Shaded 4-Patches -
I substituted Raspberry for the Limey/Apple Greens -
145 Squares -
19 Ssuares cut into 76 QST -
And 2 Squares cut twice - for the corners -
I messed up - I only needed to cut them ONCE -
I wondered why I had 8 of them - haha -
So - say it with me guys - DO-OVER - ;))
I still need to make some more "Double Bricks" -
And I need to mark the corner squares for the “Sitting Turkeys” -
And then I need to cut the squares for the centers -
But I'm getting there - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -
Did she actually call those sitting turkeys or is that your name for them? Don't make me go look!
ReplyDeleteThat's what she called them - ;))
DeleteRaspberry, chocolate, turkey - by the time I finished reading this - I was hungry :-)
ReplyDeleteBut great colors...
Thanks, Katie! - They are yummy colors, aren't they? - ;))
DeleteOh Wow! I love your color choices! I can't wait to see the whole thing together. I'm still back on step 2. Lots of geese in my future.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ann! I cannibalized a couple of "kits' so the colors were already coordinated - but I'm limited on the fabric choices within each main color group - and I keep running out of "backgrounds" - ;))
DeleteI Love your colors. Especially that raspberry.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda! Glad you like the raspberry - if I stick with the original layout, you will see a LOT of raspberry! - ;))
