A little progress -
But not much - ;))
I realized - after I posted yesterday -
That - TWO of the same fabric strips will give me TWELVE squares -
And I only need FOUR decent ones for the "centers" -
The other EIGHT squares will be "ends" -
I thought that should make it easier -
BUT then I messed up when I cut the very first WHITE strip -
And cut TWO squares a bit short -
So I "fixed" them - LOL - ;))
Can you tell which ones got "fixed"? -
Here's a hint -
The first FOUR on the LEFT will be the "centers"
Which leaves the EIGHT on the RIGHT -
So I'll narrow it down a little further -
The last TWO on the RIGHT got "spliced" -
I don't think it will be that noticeable in the final quilt -
They will both be "ends" - not "centers" -
But if it is noticeable - oh, well - too bad - LOL - ;))
When I realized that I only needed FOUR decent "centers" -
I cut TWO strips at a time -
Sorted through them to find the best FOUR -
And let it go at that -
These FOUR will be "centers" -
The rest will be "ends" -
I did the same with the BLUE strips - but I didn't bother to take photos -
Google is messing with my photo uploads again -
And I didn't want to play that game today - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -
It's going to be a cute quilt. Splicing is a design element. 😉
ReplyDeleteI don't think the splicing is noticeable. This is going to be a cute quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt will be a cute quilt and no one will even notice the splicing.
ReplyDeleteI think the splicing is virtually unnoticeable. This should work out to be an adorable quilt.
ReplyDeleteOh my, numbers are everywhere. Im totally a visual person, and I like what I’m seeing, but wading through the numbers isn’t for me. Just give me the beauty, Lol!
ReplyDeleteYou and whoever you tell will be the only ones that notice the splicing. (and
ReplyDeleteI'M NOT TELLING!)
