I REALLY like the positive/negative layout of these blocks -

Each one has a "mate" that isn't all that apparent -

    I love the way the very high contrast squares make up blocks that look totally different!

    My floral blocks are something like that with dark on light ... except the two fabrics in each block are not paired. I think your way would have been a lot easier.
