My Upstairs/Downstairs - Pastel Brights -
Is a top -
Ta Dah!! - ;))
Top left -
Top right -
Middle left -
Middle middle -
Middle right -
Bottom left -
Bottom right -
Close-up of the middle -
And upside-down -
Linda - Art in Search - played along with me -
We used the SAME jelly rolls -
And sewed the SAME strips -
In the SAME order -
In the SAME strata-
And laid the blocks out in the SAME layout -
The only thing we changed -
Was which color we chose for the MAIN DIAGONAL -
When we made the blocks -
I made the YELLOW version -
She made the BLUE version - HERE -
And added a BLUE border -
We could have chosen the PINK one -
Or the GREEN one -
Or the PURPLE one -
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -
I am amazed at how different they look. Linda showed her quilt top yesterday. And now yours looks like a very different quilt. Choosing the diagonal really does set the "color tone" for the quilt as it sets the main color.
ReplyDeleteI don't know Linda so I'll have to follow your link and 'meet' her LOL. I love the way this one turned out. Do you have special plans for each of your Upstairs/Downstairs quilts?
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt and all the photos of the EQ possibilites. If I had unlimited resources, I would buy and make all the versions for fun.
ReplyDeleteIt's so cool to see both quilts and it's always fun to do projects with friends!
ReplyDeleteThat's so pretty!
