Inch -

By inch -

Slowly getting there -

The prep work is all done -

The batting is basted down -

The top is basted down -

The clamps are on the front rail -

And I have "air-quilted" some swirls -

To check my spacing -

So I'm all set -

Now I need to stop procrastinating -

And just do it -

But first -

I need to do more doodling -

To get "the path" set in my brain - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

  1. Quilting does take a lot of time! That's part of why I procrastinate. But you're getting there, like you said, a little at a time and progress is progress.

  2. Great, I always think of "set up" as the hard part. Once I get to quilting it is easier to just do it. But I confess that I never doodle before hand.

  3. Isn't that the truth, getting the design set in your mind. Getting into the rhythm without having to think too hard while stitching.

  4. If I can see something in my mind clearly, I can overcome the bumps in the road. I am not a seat of the pants quilter. When the mind and hands both function together, it is a beautiful thing.
