If you're using the left page...then I don't have a solution for you. But if you're using the right page I have a pretty good idea what goes wrong. I've found that the placement of the smaller squares on the big square seems to be the problem. Her "Four geese at a time" is one of my favorites - and I have used it before - successfully.
