LHQ - Scant 1/4 inch
LEFT-HANDED QUILTING – Scant 1/4 inch
As you all know –
Every once in a while –
I lose my scant 1/4 inch –
SO –
Here is one of the ways I test it –
Stitch a line – just a regular line –
Then stitch another line – 1/4” to the LEFT of the first one -
Turn it around –
And stitch another line – 1/4” to the LEFT of the other two -
You will then have three lines stitched - like so -
Put your ruler on the piece with the inch mark on the center line –
The other two stitched lines should be just to the INSIDE of the 1/4” marks on either side of the center line –
TA DAH!!
That’s pretty damn close for me –
Now – if I could only stitch a STRAIGHT line –
I’d be OK…;))
Talk to you later – gotta go – gotta sew -
I have a sewing machine, "1 / 4 inch foot," which is leading the edge of the fabric. Thus, exactly one quarter away from the weld will be.
