DESIGN WALL MONDAY -
Check out all of us who link up with Judy L. at Patchwork Times on Mondays.
We have some awesome stuff on our walls!
Well, THEY do - ME - not so much sometimes - ;))

If you are right-handed - just reverse the directions.

So far -
I/you/we have made 12 Sampler Blocks -
All 12 Sampler Blocks up on the wall -
I was going for a red and neutral color palette -
Red - cream - beige - tan - brown -
But -
I'm not all that thrilled with my fabric choices so far -
And I thought about starting over -
And switching to some other fabrics -
That I found in my stash -
A more "coordinated" selection -
But maybe if I keep going -
It won't look too bad -
I think I just need more VARIETY!!
And - hey -
It's my Sampler Quilt -
So -
No one is really going to know -
That I'm making this up -
As I go along -
And that I didn't PLAN -
It this way -
Right? ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -
Maybe do something unusual in the sashing and borders?? Anyway, love the blocks. The only time I did a sampler quilt - my first quilt class. I made 6 blocks and made a baby quilt out of them - then didn't quilt for 20 years...... Maybe I'd better stay away from sampler stuff :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Katie - but this is only what I have so far. I am not done yet - I have a few more blocks planned before this puppy is done - ;))
ReplyDeleteblocks look great and I agree that in samplers tons of fabrics make it all come together in a fabulous way. Nice job
