Valentine's Day Sudoku Quilt - The Border is On! -
In my last post I still needed the borders on my Valentine’s Day Sudoku Quilt -
I had some VERY pretty reds in the blocks themselves -
My bloggy buddy - LindaJ - life, quilts and a cat too - HERE -
Might recognize the White Squares with Little Red Hearts -
She included those with some scraps that she traded me -
In my stash was a beautiful Red Swirly Print -
That I had been hoarding saving for something SPECIAL -
And then I remembered my Rule #12 -
Rule #12 - Use your BEST fabric - while you still can!
Thanks, Julie! The photos don't do this little quilt justice - the reds are REALLY pretty - especially the border print. It is a little brighter than it appears in the photo - ;))
I vaguely remember that piece you spoke of, LOL. Isn't that awful that it is only vaguely? I guess when you have sewn since you were pre-teen and quilted for 25 of the last years a lot of fabric is in and out. Sometimes donated to me too so I don't recall a purchase or picking it out for a specific project.
The quilt is really pretty though in spite of the photograph not showing up as you would like! Good job. I'm just fiddling with something that I might do next---planning stages but since it is hand work I need to get started.
Thanks, Linda - whether you remember the fabric or not, it is/was PERFECT for this little quilt - and I actually remembered that you gave it to me - so I had to give you credit. Now I can't for the life of me remember where or when I got any of the other fabrics - ;))
Terrific!
