Play day -
It felt so good -
To play with my Victoria and Albert Interweave today - ;))
I didn't quite finish getting the top together -
But I wasn't rushing -
I was enjoying each and every stitch - LOL - ;))
To me -
That's what it's all about -
ENJOYING the process -
I really couldn't care less -
If I EVER finish something -
And I can prove it -
One of my quilts is being quilted by a friend -
And it's just now being quilted -
Which is no big thing -
BUT -
I started playing with it in February 1997 -
And finally got the borders on it in September 2013 -
If you do the math -
I started it 23 years ago -
Played with it for 16 years -
On and off - mostly off - LOL -
Stored it for another 5 or 6 years -
Then sent it to my friend who offered to quilt it for me -
And she emailed me today that she's playing with it now -
Can you tell that I'm in NO hurry? - LOL - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -
Ha ha. I know that feeling. I have a top or two that are years old. I also have pieces of projects (POPs) that have been started for a very long time but not 1997 since I started quilting in 2008.
ReplyDeleteSometimes one will suddenly become the project I need to work on now. Sometimes I realize that I don't remember how I was making it. Oops.
Exactly!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the smile.
ReplyDeleteYay! I have quilts like that too! One is older than my son who is 25. Enjoy the process.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of oldies too that are still marinating. Someday they will get finished.
