QUILT JOURNAL - Floral Applique - Part II

AUGUST 1999 – NOVEMBER 1999

Two years later - 

I dug it out to take a look – 

I had made four blocks –
And I had cut out and prepped two more –
  • Bird’s Nest with Roses
  • Leaves/Berries
Did I really want to finish the other blocks??

No -

They take FOREVER!

What if -

I just made a top with the four blocks I had already made??

So - 

I made some HSTs (half-square triangles) for an inner border and sashing -

And assembled the first four blocks into a top - 

Then I let it sit again -

    Looks fabulous! Of course it needed to sit again....It is needed for all fabric and projects to mature....just like wine.
