Design Wall Monday - 4/7/14
DESIGN WALL MONDAY -
Check out all of us who link up with Judy L. -
At Patchwork Times on Mondays.
We have some awesome stuff on our walls!
Well, THEY do - ME - not so much sometimes - ;))
===
Nothing new on my design wall today -
Just the sewn (and then “un-sewn” and then “re-sewn”) block -
From a couple of weeks ago - ;))
Somehow I lost my 1/4” seam allowance -
AGAIN -
And had to spend some time yesterday finding it -
AGAIN -
And “re-sewing” this block - ;))
Other than that -
I haven’t sewn much lately -
Since I really don’t have the time -
And I don’t feel like sewing -
Or blogging anyway -
Because I have been so busy -
Playing nurse -
And dealing with “ducks” - ;((
Right now -
I REALLY feel like making -
A huge pot of -
DUCK SOUP - ;))
Does anyone have a good recipe??? - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Not sewing at all may be marginally better than taking things apart and re-sewing. Also on the edge is having to arrange everything and keep it in order while you sew ... that is what I am doing now. Maybe a design wall would help but no wall space makes that a problem.
There are days when I would be happy to join you in making some duck soup. We'll both need to find a recipe. Been thinking about you and yours quite a bit but understand that emailing, blogging and even sewing are the last things on your mind.
Sorry ..... I have no recipe! I usually just dump and stir. What floats to the top gets eaten first. Kinda like that 'eating an elephant' thing. ;-)
I agree with you - but both were good diversions - taking the block apart was a no-brainer and re-sewing it took come concerted effort to get it to come out the right size. Before my design wall, I would take a piece of flannel or felt or a flannel-backed vinyl tablecloth - and lay out all of my pieces for the block and press them into place. The fabric "stuck" to it without pins - but I could/would use pins if I was transporting it somewhere. That might work - ;))
Thanks, Linda - I will email you later - ;))
Haha - that might work!! - ;))
