Design Wall Monday - 6/1/15

DESIGN WALL MONDAY -
Check out all of us who link up with Judy L. -
At Patchwork Times on Mondays.
We have some awesome stuff on our walls!
Well, THEY do - ME - not so much sometimes - ;))
===

On my wall today - ;))

It's a brand new project -

From the book -

9-Patch Pizzazz -
Fast, Fun & Finished in a Day -
(c) 2006 - Judy Sisneros -
C&T Publishing, Inc.

I'm not so sure about the "finished in a day" part -

But I chose my focus fabric -

And a couple of others -

So we'll see what happens - ;))

What happened to the Churn Dash? - ;))

Well, it finally made it to the "flinsy" stage -

And from there -

Will probably hit the trash - ;))

I swear - those blocks KNEW that I was talking about them!! -

They ganged up on me -

And flat out refused to allow me -

To sew a straight line -

Or match any points -

And decided to be just plain ornery - ;))

The blue was the leader of the gang -

And decided to be slippery -

And slide all over the place - ;))

So after I finally got them all together -

Pressed them -

And took their picture -

I folded them up -

And put them on a shelf - ;))

I was going to donate the top to a bloggy buddy -

To use to teach some young quilters -

How to tie a quilt -

But it's not good enough -

It would probably fall apart in their hands - ;))

Life is too short to mess with stuff that won't cooperate -

So I dug out Judy's book -

And some pretty fabric -

And I'm going to PLAY!! - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Oooo I have that book. Haven't made anything from it though. I have lot's of books but I just like looking at all the pretty pictures apparently. Because I rarely make anything from the patterns.
Love your fabric!! I'll be watching you.
Now about that Churn Dash quilt. You really should 'slap a border on it' and quilt it to finish. Call it your 'Ugly' Quilt. We ALL need one of those. Keeps us humble. lol

Thanks, Linda - I have lots of books and like looking at the pretty pictures, too!! I spend more time doing that than actually making something - more ideas than time, I guess. LOTS of ideas!! - ;))

And the Churn Dash quilt is not the only quilt keeping me humble - I have a BUNCH of them. I may chop it up and try to salvage the colored patches - but that "blue" was a nightmare to work with. It may have been a poly/cotton blend - I'll have to check - and putting a border on it would probably be a waste of perfectly good fabric - ;))

my bee did the 9 patch pizazz and I want to make more of them. They are so fun to make, and cool to design once the blocks are made. You'll have so much fun! Make more blocks than you need so you can play. LeeAnna at not afraid of color
