Design Wall Monday - 3/24/14
DESIGN WALL MONDAY -
Check out all of us who link up with Judy L. -
At Patchwork Times on Mondays.
We have some awesome stuff on our walls!
Well, THEY do - ME - not so much sometimes - ;))
===
This is all I have on my design wall today -
And it's not even a block yet - ;))
Don't feel much like working on the Dresden Plates -
Or anything else for that matter - ;))
I have some other strips ready to go -
But that's about it - ;))
Same old - same old - ;))
Same old stuff on the other design walls in the hallway -
Same old Sick Bear in the other room -
Same old around and around with the insurance company -
Still trying to get the prescriptions and copays sorted out -
Same as last year - but with a brand new company -
Same old around and around with the tax preparer -
Still trying to get the tax return "accurate and complete" -
Same as last year - with the same old company -
Same old "First of the Year Ducks" -
Still trying to get them all lined up -
Same as last year - with the same unruly bunch - ;))
I am so looking forward to April -
Maybe fewer "ducks" -
And more "squirrels" - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

I don't have a clue what those squares are going to be but I like the color combination. If you've told about them I'm sorry I've missed it. Haven't been blog hopping much lately. Just like you I'm trying to keep my head above water and swim. Swim. Swim.
lol
Sorry about those ducks. When you get it worked out, give me a hint because the same ones seem to be wandering around here too. My quilting is about the only thing I can control!
Thanks, Linda - it's nothing fancy - I pulled some strips from the scrap drawer for a 2" version of Bonnie Hunter's "Scrappy Trip Around The World" block - a free pattern on her blog. I made a few blocks a long time ago - and they are super easy. Since I didn't feel like trying to mess with anything complicated - it fit the bill. The color combos are not planned at all - but I do have some pretty scraps - ;))
Thanks, Julie - I guess my word for the year(s) should be "Serenity" - to accept the things that I cannot change. I cannot change the unruly ducks - I have to be patient and let them sort themselves out - one at a time - in their own time. And they will eventually - like they do every year. But the same old ducks year after year after year is so exhausting that my quilting suffers. For me - it's not an issue of "control" as much as "energy" - I simply don't have the energy for both "ducks" AND "squirrels" - ;))
I have been wondering how things were going for you and your Bear. Would have written sooner but was out of town for a few days and then under the weather myself since my return. Those ducks,.........ugh.
Needless to say - the ducks are keeping me busy - and I would much rather SEW. Today I plan to do just that - at least until I have to deal with another duck - ;))
