LHQSQ - Blocks - 34/35/36/37/38 - Prep
My Left-Handed Quilter's Sampler Quilt -
LHQSQ - See the page/tab above -
So far -
Is comprised of 6” sampler blocks -
That you can make using -
2-1/2” squares -
HST that FINISH at 2” -
Strips - cut 1-1/2” x 2-1/2” -
4-Patches that FINISH at 2" -
And QST that FINISH at 2” -
Three across and three down -
Variations of the basic NINE-PATCH -
The sewn block will MEASURE 6-1/2” -
And FINISH at 6” -
===
I REALLY don’t like cutting the pieces -
And then making -
ONE block at a time -
SO -
For the next batch of blocks -
I made this -
Just kidding - ;))
Actually they all came out to this -
5 light squares
4 light/dark HST
4 light/medium HST
2 dark squares
3 medium squares
10 light/dark QST
17 light/medium QST
45 puzzle pieces -
Enough for 5 blocks - ;))
And because the finished blocks -
Will be scattered across the quilt top -
I’m not too worried about -
The sameness -
Of the fabrics -
Might regret that decision later -
But for now -
It works in my head - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

I'm assuming you're using your Accuquilt for these pieces??? I really think the quilt will be stunning when you get it done.
Thanks, Katie! I used a die on some of the HST and 2-1/2" squares - and the Easy Angle and Companion Angle rulers on some others - but for the QST - I used "Triangulations" by Brenda Henning. I really like the accuracy - it's like Foundation Paper Piecing - ;))
Very clever of you! You can do that because you are working with a limited color palette?
Thanks, Linda! My limited color palette helps - but it's scrappy, too - red/neutral - "anything goes" kind of look. The sashings and cornerstones should unite the whole - I hope. And since I like making more than one block at a time - I'm making them in batches - each batch is made with the same types of "units" - and I'm crossing my fingers that it will all come out right in the end - ;))
