BOB and sugar-free -

Let me see if I’ve got this straight -

A company makes regular cookies -

And -

The same company makes SUGAR-FREE cookies -

And I have to pay EXTRA -

For the SUGAR-FREE ones - ;))

I have to pay EXTRA -

Because they left OUT the sugar - ;))

Yeah - that makes sense!! -

NOT!! - ;))

With that kind of logic -

I probably should be grateful -

That they don't charge me -

Even MORE extra -

Because they left out -

The carrots and onions, too - ;))

But then again - it’s probably just me - ;))

No, I don't think it is just you. That's why the less money you have, the more likely you are to get fat.

I bought an 'apartment sized' appliance once that was more expensive and less 'fancy' than a full sized appliance. When I asked why, I was told it was because of quantity. I guess it's that bulk buying thing or in this case bulk 'manufacturing'. Doesn't seem fair that one has to pay MORE for something less complicated using less materials....
OH, the reason I went for 'apartment sized'? It was the only size that fit the space I wanted to put it in without major construction.

My girlfriend is have the same problems with low salt, salt free/reduced fat etc for a diet her husband must follow. She says she is finding that they may make it low salt but then they up the fat content. Naturally it is pricier to eat healthy. They don't subsidize the fruit and vegetable growers but boy howdy, if you grow corn or other stuff more high caloric for ethanol and corn syrups you are in! That keeps prices lower for stuff we should have less of but produce can't compete.

Thanks, Linda - sugar-free or low salt or gluten-free - all cost EXTRA because they have LESS of something - which makes NO SENSE to me. But maybe we are paying for all that EXTRA fat - ;))
