Design Wall Monday - 10/17/16

DESIGN WALL MONDAY -
Check out all of us who link up with Judy L. -
At Patchwork Times on Mondays.
We have some awesome stuff on our walls!
Well, THEY do - ME - not so much sometimes - ;))
===

On my wall today -

The first four blocks of a Halloween Churn Dash -
It's October and I feel like playing with some Halloweeny stuff - ;))

I really like the Candy Corn fabrics - they are so cute!! -
And the owls - and the spider webs - oooh - I LOVE Halloween!! -
Next to Christmas - it's my favorite holiday - ;))

Here are two more blocks partially sewn -

And a few more sets all matched up - waiting to be cut - ;))

Halloweeny stuff is so much FUN to sew -

And I want to personally thank whoever it was who came up with the idea to add purple and lime green to the traditional orange and black colorway -

That makes playing with block color combinations SOOOO MUCH MORE FUN - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

I have never made any thing for Halloween .... I look at the fabrics. I look at quilts made for Halloween and I think to myself "but it's only for a short time" but what the heck - it's the same for Christmas stuff. I think I just had a "duh" moment :-)

I love the colors of Halloween and I put my Halloween quilt out on October first. Everytime my sewing buddy comes over she looks at it and says, "I wish I had mine done!" We made the blocks together but she hasn't sewn them together into a top. Love your blocks.

Thanks, Jayne - you come up as a "no-reply" commenter and I don't know how to get to your email address in Google + - so I will respond to your comment here if you don't mind -

I have wanted to make a Halloween quilt for a long time. Through the years I collected some "Halloween" charm packs and jelly rolls and fat quarters - but it wasn't until this year that I finally got the "cheater panel" done - so tell your sewing buddy that it's never too late to get her blocks together into a top - and that it's a great way to get into the fun of the "season" - ;))
