LEFT-EZE™ Rule - Now Available -
The truck came this afternoon -
And I finally got the shipment -
WooHoo!! - ;))
A box of rulers -
They look like they are "backwards" -
Because they put protective paper on them -
So I had to "open" one -
Just to see -
This has been a VERY GOOD DAY!! - ;))
If you would like to order one -
Please email me at caseyq19 - at - gmail - dot - com -
And put ORDER in the subject line -
I will need your snail mail address in order to calculate your postage -
and sales tax - if applicable.
For now - in an effort to save on the PayPal fees - I am accepting personal checks.
Ruler - $24.95
Postage - depends on your zip code and "zone" -
Handling - none - PayPal would charge me/you 2.9% of the transaction plus $.30 -
- - so personal check means no PayPal fee -
- - unless it bounces and the bank charges me $35 - then you'll owe me that -
Sales tax - depends on whether or not you live in California -
- - if you do - I have to charge you sales tax -
Then I'll calculate the total - email you back with the amount - and my address - ;))
Make your check payable to A Left-Handed Quilter -
And please don't forget the "A" - it's on my account - ;))
THANKS!! - ;))
To those of you who have already ordered one -
They will be in the mail as soon as I can get off Cloud 9 - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

"Wells Fargo Wagon is a-comin...''
The week before last - I got a call from the manufacturer that my new ruler - LEFT-EZE™ Rule - would be on the truck headed for me Monday - 3/20/17. I didn't know when I would actually GET them - but thought that it would be one day last week. When I got notice that it would be coming on Friday - 3/24/17 - I did an EDIT UPDATE on my other blog - LEFT-EZE™ Rule - HERE -
===
EDIT UPDATE - 3/24/17 -
The first order is due to be delivered TODAY!! -
Oooooh - I can hardly wait!! - ;))
===
But then A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum -
Brownie points to those who recognize the reference -
And a link for those who have no idea - HERE -
And I had to add another one -
===
EDIT UPDATE - 3/24/17 - 2:00PM
Oops!! - The truck company just called -
The driver can't deliver the pallet today -
Because his truck is too big - ;))
Even though the delivery clearly stated that it was a RESIDENTIAL area -
Someone wasn't paying attention -
And the driver has an 18-wheeler -
And it's TOO BIG - ;))
I cracked up - too funny -
And we rescheduled delivery for Monday - 3/27/17 -
With a smaller truck - ;))
===
So - cue the Wells Fargo Wagon song from the Music Man - HERE -
Because the Wells Fargo Wagon is a-comin... - ;))

Design Wall Monday - 3/20/17
DESIGN WALL MONDAY -
Check out all of us who link up with Judy L. -
At Patchwork Times on Mondays.
We have some awesome stuff on our walls!
Well, THEY do - ME - not so much sometimes - ;))
===
On my wall today -
An EQ7 - Flower Basket block - ;))
It was a very busy week around here -
So about all I managed to do was tweak an EQ7 block -
And cut out the patches -
Using my LEFT-EZE™ Rule - ;))
I wondered aloud if I could find a Basket block in EQ7 -
That was made from HST - squares and bricks -
And that could be cut using my LEFT-EZE™ Rule -
And I found one -
Because -
For those of you who are interested -
The ruler hit the production line on Wednesday of last week -
And should be on the truck headed for me TODAY - ;))
I don't know yet when I will actually GET them -
But it should be one day this week - ;))
If you would like to "Pre-Order" a LEFT-EZE™ Rule -
And want/need order info -
Please go to my LEFT-EZE™ Rule blog - HERE -
And check out the "Order Info" page -
Thanks!! - ;))
I'm working on a tutorial for this block -
To add to the LEFT-EZE™ Rule blog -
And will be posting it to this blog first -
So stay tuned - ;))

On my wall today -
My St. Valentine's Day Sudoku Quilt from way back when - ;))
I still need to make a backing -
And the reds are all pressed nice and neat -
But that's as far as I got -
So - maybe I can make more progress this week -
Because I ran out of last week -
Really - really - fast - ;))

On my wall today -
My St. Patrick's Day Sudoku Quilt from way back when - ;))
I thought that I would pull it out because it's March already -
MARCH! - I can't believe it! -
Where does the time go? -
And why does it seem to FLY faster as I get older? -
MARCH! - Geesh! -
Anyway - here's a close-up in case you forgot -
My favorite fabric in this set is the one with the Japanese characters -
I couldn't resist putting it in a St. Patrick's Day quilt -
Just because - ;))
I had thought that I would fuse/baste my Five Stars Plus 5 next -
But first -
Don't you love it when someone says "next - but first" -
BOB always wants to ask if he/she knows the definition of "next" -
And yes - BOB knows the definition - but it's still FUN to say -
Next - but first - ;))
All I wanted to do was fuse/baste the top NEXT -
But before I could do that I had to find some more pinmoors to stabilize it -
And I had used them all on the Christmas Table Topper -
So I had to do the stitch-in-the-ditch on that FIRST -
To free up the pinmoors - or buy some more -
Then I saw the Valentine's Day Sudoku up on the wall and thought I might as well fuse/baste that one, too -
But first -
I need to make a backing -
So I found some reds and pressed them all nice and neat - ;))
Then I can fuse/baste the St. Patrick's Day Sudoku Quilt -
While I'm in the fuse/basting mode -
But first -
I need to make the backing for that one, too - ;))
These greens should work -
Get them them OUT of the scrap bin and into something useful - ;))
All I really wanted to do was baste/fuse the Five Stars Plus 5 -
Next -
But first -
I saw a whole bunch of Squirrels -
Who led me astray - ;))

Playing with the back -
It's really no secret that I don't like to make "backings" for my quilt tops -
And that's probably why so many wind up as UFOs just sitting in a pile - ;))
I DO like piecing a quilt top, though -
But they usually take me a while and by the time I do that -
I'm bored with the project and decide to chase another "Squirrel" - ;))
So - sometimes I play a little game with myself -
And I pretend that the "backing" is another quilt TOP -
In the same or similar fabrics -
So it tricks my brain -
And I can have some FUN with it -
Instead of it being a chore - ;))
So this time -
I pulled out four of the left-over 2-1/2" strips to save/use for the binding -
And sewed up the little bits and pieces that were lying about -
Made a "strip" of them -
Put the 10" squares up on the design wall - scattered them around -
Along with the left-over sections of the ones that I used to cut the 1-1/2" strips -
Added some red "filler" scraps -
And got this - ;))
I knew that I could make Hourglass Blocks and Flying Geese Units -
With the odd HST and QST -
But I had forgotten that I could also make Pinwheel Blocks - ;))
Now I have no excuse -
Five Stars Plus 5 -
Is ready to fuse/baste and QUILT!! - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -
