Design Wall Monday - 12/03/12

DESIGN WALL MONDAY - 12/03/12
Check out all of us who link up with Judy L. at Patchwork Times on Mondays.
We have some awesome stuff on our walls!
Well, THEY do - ME - not so much sometimes - ;))

Another episode of -

Leisurely Turtle Race to Christmas with Squirrels Allowed - ;))

Before I cut and kit up the last batch of LHQSQ blocks -

I thought I had better get back to the Race -
Leisurely Turtle Race to Christmas with Squirrels Allowed - ;))

And back to “Gingerbread ‘n Hearts” - here
Gingerbread ‘n Hearts - (c) 1995 - Dinah’s Quilts & Accents - 18" x 21"

I realized too late that I had drawn and cut out ALL of the pieces -
Without first REVERSING the pattern -
So my version is in REVERSE -
But you can almost not tell - ;))

I decided to make a smaller table mat instead of a wall hanging -

Add a different border -

And save my wonderful red border fabric for the Gingerbread Men panel -

Now we’ll see how well SuzieQ does an applique stitch - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

P.S.
This post was written and scheduled to go "live" today - before I learned that Linda - my bloggy buddy/friend and "Racing" partner had to have surgery recently and will be sidelined for awhile. I have decided to post my progress as scheduled - and because she's run into this little roadblock - We have declared a TIE in our First Annual Leisurely Turtle Race To Christmas With Squirrels Allowed. - ;))

I have done that before---did not reverse the design when I traced off the fusible. In some cases it was because the designer messed up---half was reversed and half wasn't.

Thanks, Linda - I'm glad that it's not just me - ;))

That's going to be very cute. I've done the same *backward* thinking. In fact I bet just about everyone has.
Today I think I'm going to put on those dratted things I hate and go to at least sit in my sewing chair for a bit. Wish me luck.

Thanks, Linda! I think that I managed to salvage it - even though it is in reverse. It's an easy mistake to make - unfortunately I make that particular mistake a lot. Hope you feel better and have a good sewing day - Good luck!
