QJ - Night Before Christmas

QUILT JOURNAL - NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Preprinted Book Panel
Machine Pieced
Machine Quilted
Baby Quilt
Completed - December 1997

Made for Grandson #1 -

I took a preprinted panel that was intended for a child's fabric book -
And cut apart the pages -

I then set the pages as blocks with sashing and borders -

The backing fabric was an all-over Santa Clause print -

Entered in a local quilt show - January 1999

cute! I have a set of embroidery designs for the "Night before Christmas" but the stitch count is huge and I've really put off doing them.... Maybe I should start this year and in a few years, they'll be done :-)

Katie - that sounds like a great entry for our little "Race" - LTRTCWSA - Leisurely Turtle Race to Christmas with Squirrels Allowed - ;)) And like they say - the sooner you start - the sooner you finish - ;))

I think that is a better idea than making the thing into a book that will only be used a few years.

Thanks, Julie - I thought so too - and I was hoping that it would last long enough for him to be able to read it all by himself - ;))
