Break time -

I got an email yesterday from my bloggy buddy - LindaJ -
life, quilts and a cat too - HERE -

Enjoying your blogging break and full of
finished quilt tops on your return??

So spill it, girl---what have you been up to?

===

I’m not real big on discussing my non-quilty personal life on my blog -

And since my opinions are usually not those of the majority -
I let Quilter BOB tell you about them - ;))

So here is an edited version of my reply -

===

Finished tops??? Yeah, right!!

I thought that if I took a blogging break -

That I could get some “Quilting/sewing” stuff DONE -

But noooooooooo -

I have been doing “Office” stuff instead -

I had to deal with the insurance company that changed some co-pays -

I had to deal with the dentist and his billing -

AND I still have to work on our taxes - ;))

Quilting/sewing has taken a back seat, of course - I did get some stuff done but not much - took some photos - haven't had a chance to upload them or write any posts - hope to do that by Monday - gotta have SOMETHING for Design Wall Monday - ;))

I did spend some time checking blogs - too much time - but it gave me some ideas for some posts so I guess it was not totally wasted - ;))

Anyway - I'm still working on Easy Street Detour - haven't had a chance to play in EQ7 so don't know if my border ideal will work or not - it does in my head - but that doesn't mean a thing - haha - ;))

Yesterday I played with an idea I had for a Sudoku quilt - it's turning out really well. Might ask my readers if they want a tutorial - see how many "comments" I get - what with my "word verification" it will probably be just you and Linda and KatieM - haha.

So right now I think I'll get another cup of coffee and cut the sashing for my Sudoku quilt - gotta get some SEWING done - and then I need my nap - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

I hope you get finished with your "office" responsibilities soon :) We are waiting on the last piece of info before finishing taxes.
I really enjoy following along even if you don't see me comment regularly.

For the record, I don't mind the verification. It just feels odd to post a comment if I don't have something useful to add ;) Then again often what comes out isn't what it sounded like in my head either! Does that happen to you?

haha You crack me up. So yep! I'll ask for a tute. Not sure what year I'd actually be able to make one but that has never stopped me from collecting the pattern.

Absolutely! I read a lot of blogs - including yours - but hardly ever leave a comment - ;))

But I'm not ready yet - I gotta get it worked up and posted first - so maybe in a couple of days - ;))

I know I would love to see what you are doing with your sudoku quilt. A friend of mine did one for her sister who at the time was quite the puzzle nut. We put our heads together and found some foundation piecing motifs for her to use in the cornerstones----pencils and I can't remember what all!

Sorry that you have been so bogged down with paper stuff. It happens from time to time but you WERE missed---your absence was noted.

Thank you! It's nice to know that I was missed - I missed blogging, too! I'm going to try to post some photos of my stuff tomorrow - ;))

Word verification, schmerd verification. I get a few snarky remarks every so often and so I took it off. Then I got gobbeldy gook advertisements from another galaxy and put it back 4 days later. I'll be looking to see what you get done for the design wall tomorrow despite the officey stuff. I understand how quickly that life can take over our quilting time if we let it! (And I'm curious about the sudoku quilt...might be fun for my mom, as she loves the puzzles...)

Thanks, Katie! I refuse to be bullied into taking word verification off - and I did manage to get some stuff done - and I just wrote the post for tomorrow - so you will get to see what I have on the Sudoku quilt so far. Be sure to leave a comment tomorrow if you want me to do a tutorial - ;))

When we chose our friends, it doesn't have anything to do with computer challenges. Take time for a few deep breaths!

Thank you, Julie! - ;))
