Design Wall Monday - 11/30/15
DESIGN WALL MONDAY -
Check out all of us who link up with Judy L. -
At Patchwork Times on Mondays.
We have some awesome stuff on our walls!
Well, THEY do - ME - not so much sometimes - ;))
===
On my wall today -
The Christmas test blocks -
From last week - ;))
This is my version of the -
Mirrored Kaleidoscope Quilt Pattern
From Nancy's Notions - HERE - ;))
These are test blocks -
Because I have neither the template -
Nor the pattern -
And tried to make it up from the photo -
And the description - ;))
I have enough for a small table runner -
But I highly recommend getting the template and the actual pattern -
Because - while my blocks will come out close -
They are not EXACTLY the same -
And -
I wound up with three extra "units" -
And - as always -
ONE set that managed to come up SHORT - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

I may try that....It doesn't really look like I would need the template. :-)
You don't really - but it would help to NOT cut them wrong - ;))
Pretty blocks. I know what you mean about making your own pattern based on a picture, but I think you did a great job with it.
Thanks, Marti - to me, figuring out a pattern from a photo is like solving a little puzzle - the pieces are all there - and all I have to do is put them together - ;))
I love the way the red works with the light print to make those blocks look like poinsettias.
Thanks, Julie - that was a happy accident - ;))
