Something "new" -

The other day -

My bloggy buddy - Linda J -
life, quilts and a cat too

Did a post  - here -

With a link to a technique -

“Fun and Done” - here -

I had to laugh -

Even though the Bayside Quilting video is dated January 4, 2011 -

I used that technique in a quilt I made in 1995 -

And WITHOUT the templates - ;))

Like Linda J said -

"Nothing is ever truly ever new” - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

I sometimes wonder where I'd be today if I'd marketed my 'techniques'......

Yeah - me, too - but this one wasn't/isn't mine - it was called "Quilt As You Go" back then - guess they just changed the name - ;))

and the rest of my treatise goes "nothing is ever truly
new, really---fabrics are often inspired by past eras and tools are inspired to make the piecing easier. It is still the same geometric shapes driving it all.

I made one of the blocks today and really the only part of that template thing that made any sense was the window part so I didn't have to measure on 4 sides of the batting. I could live without it but didn't have to since someone donated the whole shooting match to the quilting club library.

I still stand my original statement----it has been done. And you others are just using someone else's idea and tweaking it.
