TUSAL - 9/16/12
I have joined hundreds of stitchers in Daffycat’s TUSAL -
A Totally Useless Stitch-A-Long
To play the game -
I have to fill my glass container -
With saved thread clippings -
Or ORTS - Old Ratty Threads -
Fabric trimmings -
Stitching cast-offs -
And then -
On the New Moon -
Take a picture of the ORTS in my jar -
Post it to my blog -
And label the Totally Useless posts with “TUSAL” -
Done - done - done - done - and done - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Here I was struggling with what those initials stood for yesterday! Now I am reminded "oh THAT is what she meant."
SORRY about that!! BOB and I HATE trying to figure out all of those dumb initials. I'm working on a post to vent my frustration - and just have to decipher a few more before I post my rant - stay tuned - ;))
I have a jar of thread and I'm not even playing along. If I drop that thread in the trash, the dog picks it out and spreads it around the room, thus, a jar on my table. Last spring I put it out for the birds to use and in another few months it will be that time again.
That's a TERRIFIC use for those threads!! I was going to use mine to make "thread bowls" - although some probably would say that that defeats the whole purpose of the sew-a-long and makes the "useless" part "useful". I can't see perfectly good thread go to waste - and love the idea of yours being "strictly for the birds" - ;))
