DESIGN WALL MONDAY - 10/01/12
Check out all of us who link up with Judy L. at Patchwork Times on Mondays.
We have some awesome stuff on our walls!
Well, THEY do - ME - not so much sometimes - ;))
===
Another episode of -
Leisurely Turtle Race to Christmas with Squirrels Allowed - ;))
I have the attention span of a gnat -
So I set aside the placemats -
I’ll bind them when I need something -
Brain-numbing to do - ;))
I wanted to check out the patterns -
Play with fabric choices -
And maybe fuse some applique -
So I pulled out Bottoms Up! -
Bottoms Up! - (c) 2001 - Calico Moon Handcrafts -
And Gingerbread ‘n Hearts -
Gingerbread ‘n Hearts - (c) 1995 - Dinah’s Quilts & Accents - 18" x 21"
I pulled some fabrics -
Remember the blue?
I used that for the outer border -
On “Christmas Lights” - here -
Too cute!
Had to have some “Bottoms” with that - ;))
Cut out the base -
And one -
Became three -
They still need toesies and heels -
And some other stuff -
But they are going to be CUTE!!
And then I drew out the pieces -
For the Gingerbread boy and girl -
And fused and cut the brown parts -
When I fused the girl’s dress -
To the RIGHT side of the fabric -
I knew right then and there -
That it was time for my nap - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

LOL, you remind me of my husband--naps, pre-naps, etc but one of these days I will be doing the same thing, no doubt.
What a cute pattern! I can't wait to see this one finished up.
I gotta quilt something I volunteered to do as time is of the essence for this one but then i am back to playing with fabric too. YOU and Linda have fun for both us, okay?
haha So a person's NOT supposed to fuse to the right side? I do that all the time! I just call it practice.
Both of those patterns are cute, cute!
tear off the paper and it will be a 'shiney' dress :-) Just be careful when fusing the other side...... Okay, well, it was just a thought anyway......
Very cute "bottoms". I can't tell you how many times I iron something wrong or sew wrong sides together. My seam ripper and I are on very familiar terms.
