Binding -

Is one of my least favorite "chores" when it comes to quilting -

It seems to take forever and wrestling a huge quilt is always a challenge for me -

When I finally get to the point where I HAVE to do it -

I prefer Susie's Magic Binding method - the binding with the flange - that you sew from the back - flip over and stitch down from the front. I have my index card with the strip sizes and sewing instructions - that I use most of the time -

But recently I found a YouTube channel by Jordan Fabrics - HERE - that shows a variety of binding methods. So I tried their version - #4 - Flange Binding -

Cut and sewed the binding strips -
Using the sizes on my index card - so it isn't quite as narrow as hers -

Used an old cutting board for a hard surface and my wooden "pressing" stick to flatten the seam - which worked very well - before pressing it open - then folding it - raw edges together -

Made what seemed like a mile of it - LOL -

Trimmed the quilt -
Which I usually do AFTER I sew the binding to the back -
Because I like to have something to hold on to while I sew around it -
So we'll see how that goes this time -

Got the binding sewn on all around -

And stopped at the point where I have to join the ends -

By that time I had run out of gas -

I was tired -

And hungry -

So guess what I'll be doing tomorrow - LOL - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

It is always good to have another method to use for attaching binding. Thanks for sharing this one.
