Lazy day -

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!! - ;))

I chose the strips for the binding -

For my Quarter Log Cabin -
Pattern -  © 2015 - by Liz Katsuro -
You can get her FREE patterns - HERE

I want to make a flanged binding -
With the GRAY as the main color -
And the ORANGE as the flange/accent color -

I think it will go well with the top -

And the backing -

Then we finished the puzzle -

Delicious Desserts -
Buffalo Games - 1000 pieces -

And we had one EXTRA piece -

My eagle-eyed daughter spotted the duplicate piece from here -

Here's a closer shot -
And I still didn't spot the piece -

Until she pointed it out to me -

It's the same as the one in the center - to the left of the extra piece -

And here -

I have NO idea how she saw that -

From so far away -

And I have NO idea how she knows which piece goes where -

Without checking the poster/picture or the box -

Me?? -

I definitely need the poster/picture and/or box for reference -

But then again -

I can dissect a quilt from a photo -

So there's that - LOL - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Your daughter has a great eye. But if she isn't using the poster/box photo - she must be some type of savant.

Each of us has our talents! Eyes definitely work better in the young.

Happy Mother's day! Funny about the extra puzzle piece. I love that you two do puzzles together. :)

I do mystery puzzles on the computer with no picture to check up on. I have two of the exact same puzzle, and though the pieces are all the sams size and shape, they do not fit when exchanged.Once I had my scouts divided into two teams and mixed up all the pieces of both puzzles to see which team could finish first. They had to negotiate if the other team had their piece, and make a trade. Nice results with the quilt.
