DESIGN WALL MONDAY - ORCA BAY - 2/6/12
Those of us who are linking up with Judy L. at Patchwork Times - Design Wall Monday -
and -
Those of us who are playing along with Bonnie Hunter's ORCA BAY MYSTERY QUILT -
are linking up today. Check out our progress on her blog - Quiltville's Quips & Snips!!
We are all working at our own pace - following along with her clues -
IT IS NOT A RACE. ;))
============
First - I want to thank Bonnie Hunter for a wonderful Mystery Quilt!!
And I want to congratulate everyone who FINISHED the Orca Bay Mystery Quilt!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!
As for me -
I’m still working on mine - ;))
===
If you have been following my progress -
On my version of Bonnie’s Orca Bay Mystery Quilt -
That I call Orca Bay Bones -
You know that I hit a major snag -
On Saturday -
I got some pieces up on the wall -
And didn’t like it -
So I decided to go back to the original plan -
Bonnie’s version -
With the red geese framing the black blocks -
But since I didn’t have much time left -
I just laid out a smaller one -
Wallhanging size - 3x3 -
Nothing is actually SEWN together yet -
And it doesn't have the borders -
But it IS up on the wall - ;))
Again - Congratulations to EVERYONE who FINISHED ORCA BAY!!
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Soooo??? Am I still staying tuned?
Hey, you've made progress and that's what counts. I'm still cutting out triangles for step 4 so you are ahead of me :-) Your top looks good so far.
I haven't been 'around' much but love the way your Orca Bay is turning out. I think I like the red strings over the solid, though.... (Now you had to know I'd have something to say :-) )
It took me almost 2 years to finish my Carolina Christmas, It's only been about 3 1/2 months since Orca Bay finished. I think you're doing fine.
I'm still plodding along with my Orca Bay, too. But it will come together someday! What you have up on your wall looks good--I don't have a whole lot more than you. We can enjoy the journey at a more leisurely pace! : )
