Green - Saturday -

All of the strata are sewn -

For my Upstairs/Downstairs - Christmas - GREEN

So the next step is to get them all cut -

And for that - I use my die cutter -

I have a die that will cut 5 strips at a time -

And I can layer up to 10 layers of fabric -

So it makes quick work of what could be a very tedious task -

I don't sew the strata into tubes first because the strata lie flatter if I don't -

And I'm less likely to get a "wonky" cut -

I don't mind the "tube" sewing - it's brainless chain-piecing - and relaxing -

And  - it's worth it to me to not get the wonky cuts - LOL -

So I take one strata and put it down with the selvages just PAST the last blade -

With the seams showing which also helps it to lie flatter -

And fold it back on itself -

With the fold just PAST the last blade on the left side -

Then fold it again at the edge on the right side -

So I have three layers - and will get 15 cuts -

Enough for 3 blocks -

Stagger the next strata - and do the same thing -

Load as many as I feel like - up to ten layers -

I kind of over did it on this one - but it was fine -

Put the plastic mat on top -

And crank it through -

Peel off the scrap ends -

Roll up the "segments" -

And put them on the cookie sheet to be sorted later -

I'll do that part tomorrow - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

You're killing me here with all the suspense! But I suppose I'll just sit here patiently and wait with the rest of your readers...

I appreciate your showing the steps in photos. I get lost in word descriptions. I am learning a lot, thanks.
