LHQ - Salad Spinner

For those scraps too small to run through the washer -

Or for 5" charm squares -

I use my salad spinner -

To PRE-WASH them - ;))

Add some water - detergent -
And the scraps -

Add some more water -
Spin them around -
Suds them up real well -

Move to the sink -
‘Cuz I forgot how messy it gets - ;))

Dump the soapy water -
Replace it with rinse water -
And rinse them -

Dump the water -
And spin them semi-dry -

Blot with a paper towel -
Press them dry -

All with a minimum of fraying - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Darn it... now I need to get a new salad spinner.... mine has holes in the bottom so it doesn't 'hold' the water. I've usually used a 'delicates' bag to launder the FQ's ( I usually don't buy anything smaller)

A kitchen tool is now a multi-purpose tool! Cool

You don't need a new salad spinner - just rinse your scraps in a regular bowl - and then put them in the salad spinner for the "spin dry" cycle - ;)) And I use "delicates" bags, too - but these smaller scraps - which are YOURS by the way - took a "spin" in the salad spinner -;))

I love using things for a totally different purpose than what was originally intended - and kitchen things are so versatile - they are my favorites - ;))

Fantastic idea! We aren't using our spinner for lettuce much anymore, so now it will be a quilting supply :)

I've got one of those but the little crank handle is missing. It will still work but I have to use a pencil or my finger to rev it up. BUT I have never tried it on little bits of fabric. HMMMM
