The last -

BLUE section was filled with leaves -

And a variety of background "fill" patterns -

Then I played with a "feather" in a GREEN section -

And didn't quite get the "angle" that I was wanted -

But I have more practice areas -

And a LOT more things to try -

So I'm not being too hard on myself -

Hopefully - I will improve as I go along - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

It will get better as you learn what speed and how to move with the needle. I was taught "Slow hands, fast feet" when I started on a domestic machine. Most people move the fabric too fast and reach too far in the motifs.

Try doodling on paper or a board. If you do this every day you’ll build up muscle memory and get better.

Draw it a bunch of times then go sew it. No breaks in between. Rinse and repeat - a LOT of times.....eventually it starts looking good even to you. (or that was my experience.)

I’m loving that I see lots of other things in your quilting lines. For instance, there is a critter in there with LOTS of feet. Lol! Have fun taking a break from quilt top sewing. We all need breaks.

Liggtly tracing over a piece of sandpaper helps build muscle memory, too.
