Another detour -

When I put the Basic Math Quilt on the back of the chair with some other quilt tops that need backing - basting - and quilting - I wondered how many others I had in the closet - so I went to look -

And before I even got to the closet - I found this in a plastic tub -

It's my Easy Street Detour Around the World - I posted about it a couple of years ago - 10/27/14 - HERE - and it's king-size plus some -

I have no idea what to do with it - it's far too big to quilt myself and would be much too expensive to have quilted professionally - so I'm thinking I might try to figure out how to cut it down to something more manageable - and then quilt it myself -

I think in the weeks to come that I'm going to cut a couple of projects to play with for Frog Quilter and then try to get a handle on the ones that need to be quilted - get the backs made - get them basted - and practice my Free-Motion Quilting -

I already have a bunch of the labels printed out with 2018 on them -

And I'm running out of year - LOL - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Now you are sounding like me. LOTS OF TOPS Most of mine have a purpose now and slowly but surely they will get finished.

As far as free motion quilting, it takes practice. Lots of it. Do it everyday or a few times a week. When you can sit down and do it without much thought and get good results, you will have mastered it. Get going...

I am with you on this. I don't ever want to quilt a kingsize quilt on my domestic. There is just too much quilt to "manage" (pull through the machine.)
That one may be a challenge to cut down though.

Will be interesting to see if you can cut that one down and if so, what it will become.
