Some more progress -

 

 

On my Harmonic Convergence  -

I played around with the borders a little - 

Nothing is sewn together - 

I need to add the narrow border first - 

 

 

And we played a little more with the puzzle - 

 

We're almost done - 

And I'm getting bored with it already -

I'm looking forward to playing with another one - LOL - ;))

Progress -

 

 

Sort of - on the puzzle - 

 

We put away the 500 piece one from yesterday - 

 

Because this one arrived in the mail today - 

 

1000 pieces - called "Quilt Farm" - 

 

How could we NOT put it together as soon as possible? - LOL - ;))

The colors and picture are MUCH brighter and clearer than shown above - 

 

We got the border done after dinner - 

 

And part of the quilts in the lower left corner - 

 

And - 

 

While waiting for the delivery of the puzzle -

 

I cut and sewed another Harmonic Convergence  -

The photo above was taken before I remembered to re-orient it - 

 

To the way I had originally intended it -

 

I still need to cut and sew the borders - 

 

And now - looking at it - 

 

I probably should have put the dark pink one in the top right corner - 

 

 

But that's OK - it is what it is -

 

My next one will be perfect - LOL - ;))

New stuff -

 

 

Is always fun - ;))

 

First - a new sewing project - 

 

I chose some fabric - 

 

 

But didn't get very far - 

 

Then we chose a new puzzle - 

 

Only 500 pieces this time - 

 

But they are really tiny - 

 

It's called "Feeding the birds" - 

 

And the whole thing is only about 11" x 18" - 

 

As you can see - we only put the border together - 

 

Hopefully - tomorrow will be a more productive day - ;))

The top "flowers" were definitely easier to put together - 

 

Than the "feathers" in the bottom section - 

 

Maybe now I should do some sewing -

Slow going -

 

 

We're playing with one of the hard parts now - 

 

So it's really slow going - 

 

It will probably be even slower going - 

When we get to the "feathers" in the bottom section -

But it's FUN - 

And it beats doing "chores" - LOL - ;))

Owl Eyes -

 

 

Aren't nearly as creepy looking -

My daughter is the speed demon - 

When it comes to putting these puzzles together - 

She can match about ten pieces to my two - LOL - ;))

We finished up this one - 

 

 

And were missing one piece at the bottom of the chair - 

 

Oh, well - it was fun anyway - 

 

And we wanted to play with a new one - 

 

This Owl is 1000 pieces - 

 

And should keep us busy for a while - 

 

We started with the border - 

 

Then played with the eyes - 

 

 

I didn't realize how creepy it would look - 

 

Until I took the photo - LOL - ;))

Cards -

 

 

From friends are the best!! - ;))

 

Today I received a Valentine's Day card from Linda -

 

Not her fault it was late - 

She mailed it in plenty of time for me to get BEFORE Valentine's Day - 

But I think it took the scenic route - LOL -

 

 

It reminded me that I never showed you -

 

The one she sent me for Christmas last year - 

 

Or the one I received from Cindy for Christmas last year - 

 

 

It is so AWESOME to be included when they sent out cards - 

 

They are such talented ladies - 

 

And I LOVE their creativity - ;))

On two fronts - 

 

First - the puzzle - 

 

We got most of the little girl done - 

 

 

Then - a new project on the design wall in the hallway - 

My daughter wants to try to make a quilt - 

 

And we're going to start with these - ;))

This time it's a little girl - 

 

With a chair of bowlies - LOL - ;))

 

 

We didn't get very far - 

 

But we did get the border done - 

 

Then we had some Pumpkin Pudding Cake - 

 

Because we could - LOL - ;))

 

Tomorrow I have more "chores" to do  - 

 

So I  may not get much sewing done - 

 

But we'll see - ;))

The last -

 

 

BLUE section was filled with leaves - 

 

And a variety of background "fill" patterns - 

 

 

 

Then I played with a "feather" in a GREEN section - 

 

And didn't quite get the "angle" that I was wanted - 

 

But I have more practice areas - 

And a LOT more things to try -

 

So I'm not being too hard on myself - 

 

Hopefully - I will improve as I go along - ;))

An update -

 

 

Is definitely in order - 

 

I checked my last entry in my Scrapbook - 

 

And found this - 

 

 

My notes say that I finished piecing that top on 2/25/17 - 

And finally got it quilted and bound on 5/27/19 - 

I'm pretty sure that I've made a few more tops since then - LOL -

 

And should probably get a list together -

 

To start updating my Scrapbook - 

 

And to figure out where I am on all of my projects - 

 

While I practice my Free-Motion quilting -

 

Maybe I can make progress on two different things - 

 

At the same time -  more or less - ;))

And some round-ish spirals - 

 

And some pebbles - 

 

And more square-ish spirals to finish off the BLUE border strip - 

 

I have another BLUE strip on the other end of this practice piece - 

Plus two PURPLE sections - 

Two GREEN sections - 

Two ORANGE sections - 

And two RED sections -

 

So it's not like I'm running out of room to PLAY - LOL - ;))

I spent way too much time playing with this puzzle - 

 

 

And very little time playing with my Free-Motion quilting - 

 

I tried some more spirals just for fun - 

 

Please ignore the blob of yellow thread in that middle top one - 

 

I lost a game of bobbin chicken -

 

And wanted to make sure that the threads wouldn't come loose - 

 

But I didn't tie them off the "correct" way - 

 

Since it's only a practice piece - 

 

And I didn't want to - LOL - ;))
