Change of plans -
First it was the chores -
I had planned to work on "paperwork" today-
But I really have to be in the mood for that -
And today was NOT the day - LOL - ;))
So on to Plan B -
I decided to play with putting the Basic Math Quilt top together -
Basic Math Quilt -
Moda Bake Shop - Original Recipe - by Debbie Grifka - HERE - ;))
And Tah Dah!! -
It's a top!! - ;))
I really like this combination of colors -
Chocolate brown - tan - red - blue - with touches of green -
They play so nicely together -
And then I realized why I like them so much -
They're the colors I have in my living room - LOL - ;))
This quilt top goes with my gold couch and my dark brown wood furniture -
And my blue chairs -
And my Christmas tree -
So instead of going to Frog Quilter to be one of her "Quilty Hugs" -
Another change of plans -
This one is staying here at my house - ;))
And now that I know how this pattern goes together with a minimum of fuss -
I have another very nice layer cake in mind -
That I think will make an even better Quilty Hug - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Ha ha...that one matches your living room so well that of course you have to keep it.
The top does look marvelous in your house. Good for you. Is your Christmas tree still up from last year or up early for this year?
I did that once, too... The quilt looks great, I just hope you can live (literally!) with the layout imperfections! :)
That quilt works perfectly with your living room furniture. I'm sure Frog Quilter won't miss it :)
