Play day -

First - I sewed the new GOLD border strips on my Harmonic Convergence  -
From the book - Ricky Tims' Convergence Quilts

The GOLD separates the center from the border nicely -
Without blending in -

I switched out the border piece in the above photo -
Because it was too short -

And found two other sections with some TURQUOISE in them -

Then I played with the side borders and the one on the bottom right -

I think the GOLD will work nicely all the way around -

Then I sorted my jelly rolls into sets of five -

Just as they came off the roll -

For another Upstairs/Downstairs quilt top -

To see what it would look like if I sorted them "as-is" -

My friend, LindaS, is making an Upstairs/Downstairs quilt top - HERE -

And we're trying different strata combinations -

To see if we can figure out why some jelly rolls work better than others -

Anyway - this one has several different colors -

And it is an experiment to see how it turns out -

If I don't try to "control" the order of the colors/values -

Then - after dinner - my daughter and I played with the puzzle some more -

And got several "twosies" and "threesies" and "foursies" together -

But nothing of much substance - yet -

Just taking our sweet time - and enjoying all of the pretty colors - LOL -

Then - for those of you who like Echo -

Here's a shot of her on the couch - on top of a sheet -

And under a blanket - ready for bed -

As if to say - "I'm comfy - where are YOU going to sleep?" - LOL -

She also looks like she's "ready for her close-up" -

Remember that line? - LOL - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

What a gorgeous Echo! So easy to love. Beautiful convergence progress! I’mglad you are relaxing with that puzzle. To remember, any puzzle over 1,000 pieces is too many pieces!

Not that you asked, but I would like the dark best for the border with the gold inner border. I like the gold- good choice.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this Upstairs/Downstairs quilt.

It looks like y'all made some decent progress on the puzzle.

Hooray for borders! And I'm curious, too, how the uncontrolled jelly roll turns out. Echo is so cute all snuggled up for the night. Does she help quilt, too? Hopefully not like my cats who claim everything and stand between me and the sewing machine...

Great gold border choice! Colors in new roll are lovely. Great to be thought of as your friend (and not a pain in the neck).
