For my "experiment" is done -
I made it extra wide and extra long -
To make sure that it covers the "base" -
And will "trim" it down later -
Tomorrow I'll center it on the "base" and start quilting -
I should be able get it done in the next couple of days - ;))

It looks good there on the frame. That collection of fabrics plays so nicely together. There is lots of contrast, which is sometimes missing in fabric collections.
