A little cutting -

For my Basic Math - Enchanted Forest

Was on the agenda for today -

Basic Math - is a free pattern from Moda -
Designed by Debbie Grifka - (www.eschhousequilts.com)

The pattern is SIMPLE -

It's another one of my favorite patterns -

One of those where the fabric does all of the work - LOL -

The cutting is one vertical slice -

NOTE - I cut mine differently from the way she shows on the pattern -
And put a sticky note next to the 3-1/2" line on the ruler -
To save time -
And to make sure I didn't accidentally use a different line - LOL -

And one horizontal slice -

With no waste-

There are only three "blocks" -

Some 4-patches - using the 3-1/2" squares -

Some 2-rail blocks (some horizontal - some vertical) -
Using the 3-1/2" x 6-1/2" rectangles -

And the rest are 6-1/2" squares -

That's it!! -

The layout is easier than it looks -

And there is no right or wrong -

The layer cake fabrics/colors are already coordinated -

So it will look good no matter which way you lay them out - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go- gotta sew-

I looked at that pattern yesterday when you mentioned it. It looks super easy and has such great results.

I looked at the colors and love them. But the title puts me off! So glad it’s your pattern! 😆

The colors will look so fine together.
