First - an update on the frame leveling -
Following a suggestion from LindaS -
I had my grandson replace the cardboard with some "masonite-like"
coasters -
We used a bubble level and everything is level -
But the machine
still moves a little in one section -
Don't know why -
It's level
according to the bubble!! -
Whatever -
I'll adjust the height of the rails
as needed so the quilt doesn't hit them -
After we fiddled with that -
I got my Upstairs/Downstairs - Pastel Brights -
Out of the closet to quilt next -
And pulled some PASTEL fabrics -
That I thought might work for a pieced backing -
Some of the fabrics have a "Baby" theme -
And I'm not sure I want that -
I was thinking more "Easter" or just "Pastels" -
So - while I thought about gathering different fabrics -
I "un-sewed" the trimmings from my Happy Trails -
To see what I could salvage/use to cut binding strips -
And - as I looked at the GREEN on the Upstairs/Downstairs top -
I realized that I forgot the "Bright" part of the name -
It's Upstairs/Downstairs - Pastel Brights -
The BRIGHT GREEN looked a whole lot better than the PASTELS -
But I may not have much left after I cut the binding strips I need -
Anyway - I'm going to have to re-think this one -
So I put all of the PASTEL stuff away for now -
Tomorrow I'll look for a top that already has backing fabric chosen -
In true "just reverse it" fashion -
It might be easier for me to find backing fabrics -
THEN choose a top -
I have a whole closet full of those - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

I really like the green with bunnies and balloons for the backing. It is nice and bright. If there isn't enough of that, perhaps you have another bright that would work with it.
I hope you figure out the backing for the pastel top. I really like those happy colors.
I need to back my pastel quilt also- it is just sitting there on the hanger. When I used the bubble level, I put it in all kinds of configurations- front to back, side to side, diagonal on rails, etc. because sometimes there is a warp in how things are sitting. I started doing the great backing search on Saturday.
My machine rolls in from the right end about 15" too. It doesn't cause any problems when quilting so I live with it.
