A bit of knitting - here -
Is DONE!!
I worked on it -
On and off -
Mostly off - ;))
It’s not perfect - ;))
And it got a bit "iffy" towards the end -
A few too many stitches -
In that last corner -
BUT -
It’s DONE!!
And I LIKE it!!
Might even make another one - ;))
MIGHT being the operative word - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Don't you just love these dish cloths? I made some several months ago except I crocheted mine. I like the looks of yours better. The edging especially. You inspire me to get that cone of cotton out and make some more. Maybe! ;o)
I read about those who can knit a wash cloth in an evening - nope, not me.... it'll take me at least a week. I rarely knit more than a couple hours at time - no wonder I don't make sweaters ;-)
I love these wash clothes. I usually have one on my needles. I think they make great gifts. When people ask me what I am making when they see me knitting and I tell them 'dish clothes', they always respond with 'I love those!'
And, yes, I do knit in public - much to the dismay of my son. For some reason he dislikes knitting, but quilting in public is ok. :)
I crochet faster than I knit - but I like the pattern A LOT. The yarn-over on the third stitch of each row is all it takes to make the pretty edging - and it's kind of relaxing and mindless if you want to just sit and knit without a whole lot of thinking involved. Of course I would have finished it faster if I had spent some time actually WORKING on it instead of just LOOKING at it - haha - ;))
Thanks for the pattern, Quilty Mama - I like it A LOT!! Maybe your son associates knitting with old ladies and he thinks you are too young to enjoy it - could be a compliment - ;))
I agree - so I'll tell you the same thing that I told Linda - ;))
