I’m not exactly sure why -
But -
I decided to UNSEW these blocks - here -
It might have been because the power went OUT -
And it's hard to use my sewing machine with no POWER - ;))
Or -
It might be because I just got -
Bonnie Hunter’s - "String Fling" -
Available - here -
And it's giving me IDEAS - ;))
Or it might just be that -
I think they’re CUTE -
And FUN to make -
And I want to make MORE of them - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Those blue strings will look so much better in a different quilt. I think when you were looking at the various block sets that you really do not care for them, or the color wasn't working for you?
Re-purpose them into something you DO like better.
A friend did that on a QOV we were looking at this morning. Someone had put appliqued, too bright yellow stars on a round robin and they absolutely did not work there when the rest of the quilt was oriental themed and subdued prints. BUT they sure looked good on a masculine looking plaid and homespuns quilt!
These poor little things didn't work in my "Orca Bay" - redone into "Orca Bay RED" - and now they don't work in my little placemat.
I'm sure that they will eventually find a good home - but first I think that they "gotta have friends" - ;))
Oh, crap - now I have that song in my head - ;))
