Neutral scraps -
In this box look like they've been sorted through before -
So I made piles of the various sizes as I pressed them -
With a basket of TRIANGLES off to the right side -
And strings too narrow to use behind that -
The FQ and larger chunks in back with various shapes and sizes in the front -
SELVAGES on the left - SOLIDS on the right -
And not that many trimmings -
YET - LOL - l))
I still have the rest of the box -
And the BIG basket to go through - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Ah, the "beast" may not be as wild as you suspected.
Once you get them all sorted, you will be sewing for a long time to use up the cut pieces.
I have tables and tables of scraps to sort throught like you are showing. I have to get it done soon, as I have tables set up in the garage and it is in the low 40s today. I guess I am overwhelmed by the sheer amount. Congratulations on the terrific job you are doing and documenting.
That must have been a happy surprise to find that sorting and organizing had already begun with the neutrals.
