A little playing -

In EQ with the blocks from yesterday -

I thought they would make some interesting secondary patterns -

So I wanted to see what they would look like -

Set side-by-side with no sashing -

12" blocks - set 5 x 7 - 60" x 84" -

I did them in gray-scale so I wouldn't be distracted by the colors -

===

A- 17105 -
Corner darks on the INSIDE -

===

B-17106 -
Corner darks on the OUTSIDE -

===

C - 17113 -
Corner darks pointing IN -

===

D - 17114 -
Corner darks pointing OUT -

===

So - what do you think? -

Pressing-wise -
I think that B and/or C would allow me to press everything to the "dark"-
Without having to worry about which seams are going to get "bulky" -

But then the dark "geese" at the edges of ALL of them need to be dealt with - LOL -

And I think it's interesting how I can "lose" the block -

And see circles -

That aren't even there - LOL - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

I can see flowers and leaves in A, as well as circles in B and C. What do I think.....A, B, C and D!

Press to the dark? Seams get bulky? I never look at those things, just keep plodding ahead. If a seam feels bulky, I press harder. Lol.

After looking at them several times, in grayscale, I like B best. I like the "diamond in a circle in a diamond" illusion. It is very pleasing to my eye.

They all look great! I would have a hard time deciding which one to do.

I do like B because of the light prick in the center and the secondary circle feel. Getting circles without curved piecing is a win for me, not that I can't piece curves- it is just a bonus. Blocks on their own don't tell the whole story- you were wise to plot out the whole quilt. I would still be filling in the graph paper- you EQ savvy person!
