But first -
An answer to a question posed in yesterday's comments -
Why were the sprinkles on the cookies before the icing?
There were two batches of cookies -
The first batch were "drop" cookies -
But smashed a little -
With sprinkles on top -
They spread like pancakes -
Then they got frosting and more sprinkles on top -
The second batch were "cookie cutter" shapes -
Mermaids and Unicorns -
Both batches got sprinkles on top before they went in the oven -
So the
sprinkles baked right in - ;))
Now for the sewing part -
I played with my new Basic Math - Enchanted Forest -
The PURPLE/GREEN batik one -
And sewed the rectangles together -
And made the 4-patches -
Four piles -
Blocks A - B - C - D -
Then to the design wall in the hallway -
Where I put up the 4-patches and the rectangle blocks -
I'll play with re-arranging those for a while -
Then I'll add the 6-1/2" squares (Block A) -
To fill in the spaces -
It should be fun -
There really is no WRONG way to do the layout -
The layer cake fabrics/colors are already coordinated -
And will look good -
No matter what -
I'll just try to keep the same fabrics from touching -
And call it good - LOL - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Mmmmm... purple and green is one of my favorite color combos. They almost always play well together. Of course in a fabric line you do expect that anyway. Plus - well, BATIKS - how could you go wrong?
I have never added sprinkles before baking (or without icing for that matter.)
