After another round of what seems to be unending chores today - I didn't feel much like messing with the batting for the Autumn Squirrel - so instead - I looked for some PRETTY fabrics for another quilt to send to Frog Quilter to be one of her "Quilty Hugs" - and found these two jelly rolls - with bright, cheerful colors -
And these two Halloween ones - perfect for the season - but a little too late for this one - maybe next year -
SOOOOOOOOOO many Squirrels -
SOOOOOOOOOO little time - LOL - ;))
And just so you don't think that I only have UGLY Christmas fabrics -
I DO have some pretty ones -
And some "iffy" ones -
I'm not really sure when Aqua became a Christmas color -
But I have a couple of those, too - LOL -
And these two - Good Grief!! - No offense to the designer - but why would anyone buy these - much less design them?!?! I got both a blue version and a green version included in one of my monthly "medleys" - probably because they couldn't sell them otherwise - so yeah - I did pay $$$ for them - but not on purpose - LOL -
Now I see a possible Ugly Christmas Sweater ROW Quilt in my head -
But then again - I could just cut them all up into strips - add them to my scrap bins - and not
Instead of starting any new projects - and as long as I'm organizing my paperwork - I should probably sort out my scrap bins, too - start the New Year more organized - "cut and kit" a bunch of stuff - ready to sew - might be a lot more productive -
But first - I really need to get the backings made - and that
Oh, goody - more chores -
But they're the FUN kind - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

I'm always curious to know what kind of chores you are doing..... No rush on quilty hugs as I am waiting for my new machine. Hugs.
It sounds like you have enough to keep you busy for a day or two. (ha ha)
We were just at a local quilt show in Stockton, NJ (local to the retreat we were attending) and there was a wonderfully fun to look at One Block Wonder quilt.
It was made with a fabric that had pigs in santa hats. Now it is not the type of fabric that I would usually look at purchasing. . . but it was so cool the way the fabric worked up.
I am working on a 4 Patch Posy quilt that I purchased an Italian food fabric for and I am amazed at the variety of the blocks that I have gotten from the fabric.
So, between the One Block Wonder and the 4 Patch Posy patterns I don't think that I will ever see fabric the same way.
I have a bunch of scraps that need to be cut and organized. Any tips? I've read a bunch but so far nothing has really grabbed me. :)
Sounds like you're getting a head start on your new years resolutions! But first, I'd like to have fall. Were back in the 80s these past few days with a few more to come...where are my 70s? Darn it, that's about the only good part of fall - sweatshirts and Jean's without freezing to death!
