Play time -
Continued today -
I couldn't help myself -
I had to see what the rest of my QST version of -
One-Block Wonder (OBW) looked like - ;))
Sunday's six are on the left -
Today's twelve are on the right -
And some close-ups -
I got a total of 18 blocks -
So figured 4x4 would use 16 with 2 extra -
I6 are not bad -
And 2 are boring -
So it worked out nicely - LOL -
But now that I look at it -
I might switch out the last one in the second row for the top boring one -
I like the middle better - ;))
Then I had to play with the 4-Patch Posies -
I got twelve from the strip -
And I like how they look like painted tiles -
But I really think that the fabric pattern is too "sparse" -
And that there is too much of the blue background - ;))
Now I have to decide what I want to do with the rest of the yardage -
I can get 4 more complete repeats -
And have another 16 inches or so of two more repeats -
So if I wanted to make a triangle version -
I could get 6 repeats from at least part of it -
Hmmm - I wonder how many blocks I could make -
And what would they look like? - LOL - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

I don't think that fabric is too sparse at all. Some of the one block wonders make my head hurt with their busyness and this one is much more calming. And I think using that extra chunk for the back of the quilt would be perfect - folks could see what the fabric was before and after!
Ha ha... Katie beat me to it. I was going to say to use the remainder for backing.
I like the posy blocks. The QST are not as interesting.
Yes, use the fabric for the backing so that there is an example of the original fabric.
