First I took one of each pair and turned it upside-down - 

 

So one "dark" would be on one end - 

 

And one would be on the other - 

 

 

Then I tried to mix them up a little - 

 

From left to right - 

I'm not happy with the layout yet - 

So I'll play with the strips - 

 

And mix them up a bit more tomorrow - ;))
