LEFT-HANDED QUILTING - Binding - Small Stuff
============
Note - these instructions are written in LEFTISH.
If you are right-handed - just reverse the directions.
============
Here’s another binding method that I use on Small Stuff -
like the coasters I showed you on Saturday -
Prep binding like before
Fold and press about 1/2" to the inside - at the end of the strip – see the fold on the light yellow on the left -
Start a little ways from one corner
Leaving about a two inch "tail" -
Sew all around the coaster like before -
Mitering corners like normal -
When you get to the end -
Cut the binding straight across – allowing for about a two inch overlap -
And then slip the “end” end – dark yellow section
Inside the “beginning” end – light yellow section
The pin is stuck in the fold of the "beginning" end - so you can see it -
Nestle them together nice and neat -
and then stitch them down together
Since I used straight seams to join the binding strips -
you really can't tell where the beginning and end join -
unless you look closely -
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -
